Inflation nothing to worry about if Arizona's job market remains steady, expert says

Late last year, state officials announced Arizona had recovered all of the jobs it had lost during the pandemic.

A few other states in the region are in the same boat, including Texas and Utah. At the same time, though, the Phoenix area experienced inflation that was higher than the national average last year: 9.7%, compared to 7% nationally.

To get a sense of how that’s impacting the state’s economy,  The Show spoke with George Hammond, director of the Economic and Business Research Center in the Eller College of Management at the University of Arizona.
