Even as the pandemic has led to the closure of arts venues and fewer events where we can listen to or view art with other people standing or sitting next to us, it also has forced creative people to think about their art in different ways — including how and where it’s presented. And that applies to longtime artists and younger creators learning more about their craft.
Steven Tepper, Dean of the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts at Arizona State University, has worked with his colleagues and students on how the past two years can move us toward seeing art in different ways.
The Show spoke with Tepper recently and began the conversation by asking him to describe the impact of the pandemic.
