Most Arizonans vote early. Some Republicans in the Legislature want to change that

A Arizona Senate committee approved a measure Feb. 8 that would prevent many Arizonans from voting early.

On a party-line vote, the panel agreed to restrict early voting to only residents who meet certain conditions, including people who are 65 and older, live more than 15 miles from a polling place, or will be out of their precinct on Election Day.

This is not the only effort being made this year to reduce the number of Arizonans who vote early; currently, most do.

To learn more about this, The Show spoke with Jeremy Duda of the Arizona Mirror.
