'Crazy, lazy and hazy': Why Holocaust analogies have no place in politics

The pandemic has increased the number of Holocaust-related analogies that public figures and social media trolls share with the public.

Vaccine mandates, in particular, have led to distasteful comparisons with Nazis marking Jewish people with tattoos — as Arizona Republican Rep. John Fillmore recently did.

Why are so many people comfortable using such analogies, and can the trend be reversed?

Edna Friedberg is a historian at the U.S. Holocaust Museum.

The Show spoke with her and asked whether the analogies are becoming more common or they're being reported more.
