It’s not uncommon to hear complaints about fast fashion and its wastefulness. But some like Sarah Wharton are all about slow fashion.
Wharton is the co-owner of Traveling Yarn, an indie, hand-dyed yarn company founded in 2017 here in the Valley.
And she is here to spread the gospel of knitting. Her new book, out on Valentine’s Day, is called, "Handmade: Slow Fashion Inspired by Arizona’s Five Cs," and it’s a collection of 17 knitwear and crochet patterns by 16 different designers.
The Show spoke with her to learn about the book, knitting and her love of yarn.
