Lonely this Galentine's Day? How the pandemic has tested — and ended — friendships

Ever since "Parks and Recreation’s" Leslie Knope invented Galentine's Day, women have been celebrating friendship along with  — and sometimes instead of — romance.

But there’s a more serious side to the friend game, and as with everything, it seems, the pandemic has made an impact.

Jennifer Senior, a staff writer for the Atlantic, explains this and more in her latest story, “ It’s Your Friends Who Break Your Heart.”

The Show spoke with her to learn about the story and how, in our era of radical individual freedoms, friendships have taken a backseat.
