Phoenix weather: Lower temperatures, potential for rain

A winter storm is coming in from California, according to the National Weather Service. So Valley residents should expect a dip in temperature this coming week.

Cynthia Kolbolt is with the National Weather Service. She says either Tuesday or Wednesday, the Phoenix area will see some rain, and the Flagstaff area will see rain and snow for the next few days.

“Probably equal chances that it could be either of those days that we’ll be seeing the windy cold, and the precipitation with snow showers in the mountains, and then chances of rain in the Valley,” said Kolbolt.

Forecasted highs in Phoenix range between 56 and 70 degrees for the coming week, with a return to mid-70s weather expected for the weekend.
