Boosters shots for Sonorans 18 and older rolling out this week

Sonorans aged 18 to 29 will soon have access to booster shots.

Coronavirus vaccine events are being held in cities across the state this week for people in that age range. 

First and second doses for Sonorans as young as 14 will also be administered, officials with the federal Bienestar agency said. Stragglers in other age groups can also get their doses.  

As of last week, 86% of Sonorans 18 and up had received at least one vaccine dose, slightly below the national figure of 90%, according to recent federal  data
