Navajo Nation keeps its mask mandate in place

As states around the country drop their mask mandates, the Navajo Nation plans to keep its requirement in place.

Tribal President Jonathan Nez says it’s too soon for people to let their guard down.

“We on the Navajo Nation continue to wear our masks because we’re not out of this pandemic yet. We’re being cautious," Nez said.

He says while events are being planned, mask-wearing, pandemic-related precautions and monitoring of those events will continue.
