Migrants are again being released at or near the Phoenix Greyhound station

Federal authorities are again dropping off migrants at or near the Greyhound bus station in Phoenix.

The transportation company said it is not involved. When asked about a report that busloads of migrants were released at the Phoenix station on Wednesday, a Greyhound spokesperson said drop offs happened at a nearby transit stop.

The International Rescue Committee runs a shelter for migrants headed to join family elsewhere while their immigration case goes forward. A spokesman said asylum-seekers are being released at the Phoenix station and the aid group is working with partners to respond.

An official at U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement said the agency is focused on catching and deporting migrants who threaten public safety, national and border security.
