The Arizona Department of Gaming has released its December 2021 event wagering and fantasy sports revenue reports.
Spokesperson Max Hartgraves says sports betting has gotten off to a strong start.
“There was nearly $500 million in total wagers in the state. And Arizona operators paid out nearly 460 million dollars to Arizona bettors as well," Hartgraves said.
Hartgraves says while he looks forward to seeing sports betting continue to grow, wagering is expected to dip to reflect the season-end of football and March Madness.
