Baseball is back — and stadiums are scrambling to get in the swing of things

Spring training is back on, and late last week, the MLB released a revised Cactus League schedule.

Fans around the Valley can hit the stands in just a few days — starting Thursday, March 17, when the Colorado Rockies host the Arizona Diamondbacks at Salt River Fields. Players have already reported to their training facilities.

The return of baseball means local governments that operate city-owned ballparks can take a deep breath, but the sudden shift also means everyone from hot dog vendors to stadium owners have to get up and running — fast.

Dave Dunne is the general manager of Salt River Fields.

The Show spoke with him to hear about how he's handling the sudden change.
