Gov. Ducey not happy with Maricopa County Attorney's Office

Gov. Doug Ducey is not happy with the state of the Maricopa County Attorney's Office.

With nearly 200 cases forcibly dropped due to human error, and resignation calls for County Attorney Allister Adel, who's facing scrutiny over her alcoholism and eating disorders, Ducey says there’s a need for change.

“The police officers that put their life on the line every day and the victims of these crimes deserve justice. So I think we need to see this office turn itself around and restore confidence with the voters," Ducey said.

He did not weigh in on whether Adel should resign or be recalled. But he says the situation is “unacceptable.”
