Falling crude oil prices could spell some relief at the gas pump for drivers across the United States, including here in Arizona.
However, rising demand and tight supply could still keep prices quite high, says AAA Arizona spokesman Aldo Vazquez.
"The price of crude oil has gradually fallen, and gone below $110 per barrel. If this trend holds true, it may remove some of the extreme upward price pressures that consumers have been feeling at the pump, but not all of these pressures will be relieved as we’ll as still be seeing higher gas prices," said Vazquez.
Gas prices are down modestly — about 3 cents compared to last week — both in Arizona and nationwide.
A gallon of gas in Arizona currently costs about $4.61 on average.
