Remembering Glen Spencer, advocate for Phoenix HIV/AIDS community

"I think at the same time, for those of us who did survive that time period, we're reminded of the resiliency of humans to react to this situation," said Glen Spencer.

Glen Spencer has died. He was the executive director at Aunt Rita’s Foundation, a Valley-based organization that aims to eliminate HIV/AIDS, among other hats he wore.

In fact, Aunt Rita’s recently received a $1 million grant to create the Glen Spencer Ending Epidemic Fund for HIV prevention, navigation and outreach.

Jimmy Thomason is the current executive director of Aunt Rita’s Foundation.

The Show spoke with him to learn about Spencer's legacy.
