Bureau of Land Management hearing comments on Palo Verde Regional Park

The Bureau of Land Management’s Lower Sonoran Field Office is proposing to lease about 500 acres of land near Maricopa for the creation of a public park in Pinal County.

The bureau is now accepting comments on the Palo Verde Regional Park as Pinal County says the need for recreational areas is greater because the county is among the fastest growing in the nation.

The park would include amenities such as hiking trails, picnic locations and camp sites.

The last day to send comments is May 14.
