Chandler accepting cryptocurrency for utility payments

The city of Chandler announced it is now allowing cryptocurrency as a payment option for residents to pay utility bills.

The city will accept crypto-payments from customers who have bitcoin, ethereum or litecoin connected to their PayPal accounts.

Chandler’s Chief Financial Officer Dawn Lang says the payments are handled through its current payment partner, Invoice Cloud.

She added the partner will send the payments in dollars to remove market volatility.
