The vice mayor of Phoenix and one of its council members are calling on Mayor Kate Gallego to hold a policy meeting on how to handle scandals that were left unresolved after Maricopa County Attorney Allister Adel resigned.
Vice Mayor Laura Pastor and Councilmember Carlos Garcia released a joint statement saying the city has a responsibility to look into cases of protesters being wrongfully charged as gang members.
The joint statement called on the mayor to also discuss high ranking city officials who have been implicated.
