Anyone who read the comics page in the newspaper in the 1980s and '90s is familiar with "Cathy," which followed the title character through the trials and tribulations of life, work, relationships and, of course, chocolate.
The comic strip, which was drawn by Cathy Guisewite from 1976 to 2010, is also the subject of a podcast. Creator Jamie Loftus says the comic puts a “cruelly-treated cartoon everywoman in context.”
Loftus is a comedian and the podcaster behind Aack Cast. The Show spoke with her to learn how she got interested in the comic strip and some of the bigger issues surrounding it.
