The National Park Service is offering free admission at all national parks Saturday, April 16.
While all parks will be free, the Grand Canyon National Park is expecting a higher number of visitors than normal.
“It’s also a holiday weekend for many, there are still a lot of schools on spring break with it being Easter weekend, so we are expecting higher visitation this weekend compared to normal," Grand Canyon spokesperson Joelle Baird said.
Since the park does not limit the amount of people at any time, Baird says it’s best to arrive as early as possible for those planning to visit. While parking is one limitation, shuttles are also provided.
