Recent finance reports show that spending more on the campaign trail often correlates with better performance at the polls.
While former TV news Host Kari Lake leads the Republican race for governor, former Board of Regents member Karrin Taylor Robson has closed the gap since January.
Robson has spent more than $6 million, which is more than Lake, and gone from 15 points behind to trailing 7 points since the beginning of the year.
Those numbers come from a poll from OH Predictive Insights, and it shows that while Lake leads at 29% of Republican Primary voters, 35% are unsure who they will support.
Secretary of State Katie Hobbs leads in the Democratic primaries after spending about $2 million, with still about $1.5 million to spend.
