Bureau of Land Management is issuing fire restrictions for much of Arizona

The wildfire season is off to an early start, with the Tunnel and Crooks fires combining to burn nearly 30,000 acres.

So the Bureau of Land Management is issuing fire restrictions for much of the state.

Arizona has already entered Tier 1 restrictions on state lands, and Tonto and Coconino National Forests.

Kaibab National Forest also has restrictions on its southern reaches. State foresters will begin patrols of their lands on Saturday.
