Flagstaff is one of 22 metro areas in the United States that has achieved pay parity between women and men for workers younger than 30.

The data from the Pew Research Center finds women earn at least as much as men in that age group in larger cities like New York, Los Angeles and Washington, D.C., as well as in smaller cities like Iowa City, Iowa; Gainesville, Florida and Sacramento, California. Flagstaff is the only Arizona metro area on the list.

The Show spoke about this with Flagstaff Mayor Paul Deasy, and asked what he makes of the fact that his city has achieved pay parity among workers under 30.
