The Pima County Board of Supervisors have approved 15 new locations where voters can drop off and request ballots. The sites will also serve emergency in-person voters.
Early voting begins July 6 in Pima County for the primary election on Aug. 2. The new sites can be used as emergency voting sites for both the August election and the general election on Nov. 8.
The supervisors' vote was part of a process mandated under state law. Voters can drop off their completed mail-in ballots there or cast emergency ballots — a process available to voters who aren’t on the mail-in ballot list but are unable to vote on Election Day.
All sites will be staffed by personnel from the Pima County Recorder’s Office and include a staff member from each party.
