The battles in and around Ukraine are continuing, 85 days after Russian troops invaded the country.
As the fighting rages on, geopolitical concerns have remained consistent, and humanitarian worries have become even more heightened. Those worries have led to volunteers from across the world traveling to Ukraine to offer assistance.
One of those volunteers is Dr. Tom Rusing, an Arizona surgeon who recently spent a month in Ukraine to see if his skills could help.
The Show spoke with Rusing about who he reached out to to determine his process of getting to Ukraine and whether he spoke to his family about going.
