There's a pilot shortage in the U.S. — and it started before the pandemic

There is a shortage of pilots in this country which the pandemic has only exacerbated. And as inflation and surging demand has flight prices going up, it’s only adding another layer of uncertainty for the airline industry and its flyers.

Geoff Murray is an airline consultant with Oliver Wyman and a former airline pilot. The Show spoke with him to learn about the shortage and its impacts — and he said this began before the pandemic.
