Stage 2 fire restrictions go into effect at 8 a.m. Thursday throughout all of Grand Canyon National Park due to warm and dry weather.
The controls include a ban on all wood-burning and most charcoal fires.
Use of most devices with internal combustion engines, such as a generator, is prohibited.
Stoves, lanterns and heaters that run on liquid petroleum and can be turned off, may still be used if all potential wildfire fuel within three feet has been cleared.
