Arizona will see triple digit high temperatures this week

Arizona will see triple digit high temperatures this week.

National Weather Service meteorologist Austin Jamison said the Phoenix metro region will experience a peak near 106 degrees by Thursday.

“We’ve had a region of low pressure over much of the West and that’s allowed us to dip below normal and have a lot of breeziness. That system will move away. High pressure will build in and then that high pressure will lead to the warm up,” he said.

According to Jamison, it will be a bit cooler this weekend but precipitation across much of the state is not likely.
