A major annual festival in the Sonoran capital Hermosillo drew big crowds.
The first in-person edition of the Fiestas del Pitic since the pandemic started wrapped up Sunday with a massive concert near downtown by three-time Latin Grammy winner and Sonora native Christian Nodal.
Officials estimate that between 55,000 and 60,000 attended that show alone, and 100,000 overall for the four-day event, marking its 20th anniversary this year.
Other prominent acts included Fonseca, Moderatto and Los Apson. Beyond music, the festival features book presentations, movie screenings, theater, food and other cultural events, with large swaths of the center open only to foot traffic.
