For a lot of us, the world moves very quickly. We are in a hurry to get somewhere on the freeway. Our smartphones are constantly dinging. Social media spreads stories faster than we can consider what actually happened.
To help counter that is Arizona Science Center’s current exhibition “Survival of the Slowest,” featuring animals of all shapes and sizes that move at a laconic pace — including sloths and tortoises.
The Show recently sauntered down to the Science Center to learn more from Sari Custer, chief of science and curiosity at the center, and animal care specialist Bronwyn Moore.
Custer started by describing the exhibition, and then we made our way into the habitats of tortoises and iguanas.
