On June 8, a man was put to death for the 1984 kidnapping and murder of 8-year-old Vicki Lynne Hoskinson.

Frank Atwood was executed by lethal injection after he offered advice to the executioners as to where to find the right vein. Atwood is the second man to be put to death in Arizona this spring, the first executions taking place since 2014.

Arizona Republic reporter Jimmy Jenkins was not allowed to witness the death of Clarence Dixon last month, and his initial request to be in the room as a journalist while Atwood was put to death was ultimately denied.

But he was there June 8, and The Show spoke with him to hear about his experience.
