Interim County Attorney Rachel Mitchell wants money to reimburse moving costs for new hires from certain states and pay the fee to get an Arizona law license.
A county spokesman says Mitchell’s office and human resources are working out details of the proposed incentives. The county manager expects to get a memo outlining them by the end of the week.
Mitchell has already launched a recruitment campaign with a website touting job benefits. In a statement, she said that restoring trust with victims and the community can only happen with a qualified workforce.
