But now, let’s hear from someone who took a look at what’s being done right.
Far fewer people of color own homes in the U.S. than white people. A lot goes into that, from the history of discriminatory housing policies like redlining as well as current rates of mortgage denial and unequal access to financing today.
But in a new analysis from Axios, race and justice reporter Russell Contreras found there are cities large and small in America where homeownership by people of color thrives, as he put it.
The Show spoke with him to learn about his findings.
