West Coast heat wave above normal levels

National Weather Service meteorologist Gabriel Lojero said the latest heat wave sizzling the entire West Coast is going to be above normal levels because it’s arriving during an already hot mid-summer.

“We’re forecasting between 110 to 113 approximately," Lojero said. "We’re forecasting low temperatures in the upper 80s to some days in the lower 90s.”

Lojero recommends staying safe in the heat by drinking lots of fluids and avoiding outdoor activities during peak high temperatures.
