Will Arizona come up again at Jan. 6 hearing Tuesday?

The House Select Committee investigating the deadly Jan. 6 insurrection is scheduled to hold a hearing at 10 a.m. Arizona time on Tuesday.

Multiple reports say lawmakers aim to connect extremist groups, such as the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers, with members of President Donald Trump’s inner circle.

Arizona has at least been mentioned at nearly every public hearing held by the Jan. 6 committee so far.

The Arizona House Speaker testified about pressure from Trump and others to take away the state’s Electoral College votes from Joe Biden.

Another witness said that an Arizona congressman sought a presidential pardon after backing Trump’s effort to overturn the 2020 election result.

And Proud Boys from Arizona were identified by one of the committee’s first witnesses as having shown up at the Capitol right before the crowd turned on law enforcement.

EDITOR'S NOTE: This story has been modified to update the start time of the hearing on July 12.
