These restaurants have elevated Flagstaff to a foodie destination

It’s summer in Phoenix, which means a lot of people who are lucky enough are getting out of town.

Lots of folks who want to get out of the heat will be heading to Flagstaff, where it’s 20 degrees cooler and the mountain air smells like freedom.

And it turns out, you won’t have any trouble finding some great food there, as well. Nikki Buchanan says the formerly small college town is quite the foodie destination.

Buchanan is Phoenix Magazine's dining critic.

She told The Show Flagstaff has a pretty sophisticated dining scene these days thanks to some new restaurants as well as a few old favorites.
