AZ independents remain largest voter demographic before Aug. 2 primary

Independents continue to have the largest number of registered voters in Maricopa County before the Aug. 2 primary.

Independents have about 855,602 while Republicans remain about 850,371. Democrats are fewer still at about 751,459.

In a tweet, Maricopa County Recorder Stephen Richer said there are about 120,000 fewer total voters than in 2020.
