UA scientist says photos from James Webb Space Telescope exceeded her expectations

NASA has released the first images from the James Webb Space Telescope, which launched on Christmas Day last year. And they have scientists excited about what’s to come.

Marcia Rieke is a regents professor of astronomy at the University of Arizona and is principal investigator for Webb’s Near Infrared Camera, known as NIRCam.

The Show spoke with Rieke to learn her and her colleagues' reactions to seeing the images for the first time.
