Drag queen ad attacks Lake ahead of her rally with Trump in Prescott Valley

Kari Lake hopes a rally with former President Donald Trump in Prescott Valley on Saturday will help her win the Republican nomination for governor.

But a political action committee set on electing “true conservative leaders” is using a drag queen to call Lake a phony.

Lake recently got into a war of words with drag queens, who say how the gubernatorial candidate talks about them in public now betrays her actions in the past.

A new ad by the political action committee American Focus shows a drag queen applying makeup and calling the former TV anchor fake for her past support of President Barack Obama.

“Ugh, politics. But when Kari attacked drag queens even though she counted us as friends, went into our bars, invited us into her home. Now Miss Thing pretends it never happened,” the drag queen said in the ad.

A recent poll showed Lake, who’s been endorsed by Trump, with a slim lead over Karrin Taylor Robson, who’s been endorsed by Gov. Doug Ducey, in the race for the Republican nomination.
