Flagstaff's Fix-it Clinics help keep gadgets out of landfills

When something of yours breaks, is your first inclination to try to fix it? Or is it to just get a new one? Flagstaff officials want you to think more of the former, and July 16, they’re hosting a Fix-it Clinic to give residents a hand.

The city started the events in 2014 with part of the goal being to divert material from the landfill.

Joe Koenig is one of the volunteer fixers; he’s been taking part for the past few years.

The Show spoke with him to learn about the clinics.
