Former President Donald Trump has postponed a rally in Prescott Valley scheduled for Saturday after the death of his first wife, Ivana.
On Friday, Trump announced on his conservative social media app Truth Social that the Prescott Valley rally will be postponed to July 22, “out of love and respect for Ivana.” Ivana Trump, who was married to the former president for 15 years, died Thursday at the age of 73.
The Republican Party of Arizona confirmed the postponement on Twitter. Republican candidate for governor Kari Lake, who was set to headline the event with the former president, tweeted her condolences, while saying she looks forward to the new date.
