A recent string of streaming programs is focused either on members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints or people who've decided to leave the religion.
One, "Under the Banner of Heaven," is a mixture of facts and creative license based on the bestseller by Jon Krakauer. Two others are documentaries — “Mormon No More” and “Keep Sweet: Pray and Obey.”
So why is this a period featuring more stories and shows about Mormons and their faith? And does it signal a trend?
