For many decades in the Phoenix area, murals seemed to be limited to only certain areas.
Most businesses and property owners weren't enthusiastic about having that kind of art on their walls or in their parking areas. That attitude has seen a dramatic shift, and the change is evident in Tempe.
One particular artist, Kyllan Maney, has been putting the finishing touches on her 200-foot mural of cacti and bright pink flowers near Mill Avenue and the Tempe Mission Palms Hotel. And she'll be adding another 170 feet soon.
The Show spoke with her about whether any part of the mural is created on the spot or if it's all planned in advance.
