Now those square-shaped children’s books from the 1970s and '80s are back, but this time as memes.
Little Miss memes are everywhere right now — they've gone viral on social media. People on TikTok have started describing themselves, and often their exes, as “Little Miss” characters. Like Little Miss Cries When She Listens to Taylor Swift. Or Mr. Pathological Liar. There’s even a “Little Miss” meme generator that allows you to add your own description.
The Show spoke with pop culture pro Amanda Kehrberg, who teaches media studies at Arizona State University, about the trend. She says that for some, the memes are making it easier to talk about mental health issues and other personal struggles.
