A new law has reduced the number of robocalls, but scam texts are gaining steam

Last June was the deadline for most phone companies to install technology to reduce the number of robocalls their customers get, based on a federal law. And, according to new research, we are getting fewer of these calls since then.

But we’re also getting a whole lot more robotexts.

Teresa Murray is the consumer watchdog with the U.S. Public Interest Research Group, and author of the report called Ringing in Our Fears.

She joined The Show to explain how our phones are still not immune from potential scams.
