Arizona is hosting the next Super Bowl, and applications opened Tuesday for a related program that will provide grants to state nonprofits.
Committee chair David Rousseau said the initiative leaves a lasting impact for charities in the state beyond the big game in 2023, “It was embedded in the bid that there would be $2 million left behind minimum for the non-profit community post-Super Bowl and we’re just fulfilling that obligation.”
The committee has identified education, diversity, social justice, the environment as well as health and wellness as the pillars for grant monies.
