The Maricopa County department of public health will hold additional monkeypox vaccine clinics Monday and Wednesday.
Department spokesperson Sonya Singh said vaccine supplies are limited to the most high-risk people.
Monkeypox presents in people with a variety of symptoms, including fever, muscle aches, swollen lymph nodes and rashes or sores.
While the illness has been most prevalent in men who have sex with other men, it can infect anyone who has close skin contact with someone who is infected.
The clinic on Monday is serving walk-ins. Vaccines at Wednesday’s clinic will be administered by appointment only.
