Lake, Finchem should be fined for frivolous lawsuits, attorney for Maricopa County supervisors says

An attorney for the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors says the lawsuit filed by gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake and secretary of state hopeful Mark Finchem contains blatantly false claims.

Emily Crager says the lawsuit violates a prohibition on frivolous lawsuits and that the two conservatives should be fined.

Lake and Finchem filed suit in April arguing voting machines are unreliable and prone to hacking. There are no facts to support those arguments.

Crager notes that both candidates have voted with the current system for years, saying they are merely looking to sow distrust in the state’s elections and further their political campaigns.
