The Navajo Nation Library is hosting a celebration of tribal authors Friday in the tribe’s capital city.
Two popular young adult authors will be at the celebration at the Navajo Nation library in Window Rock. Brian Young and Daniel W. Vandever, both of whom earned the American Indian Youth Literature Award, will be at the event to receive their recognitions.
"We’re trying to change the notion of what exactly we’re about here and that’s being more community based," said library manager Donavan Pete.
The reading and book signing is in person and online Friday, Sept. 9, at 330 p.m. You can find more details at the library's website.
