Gov. Doug Ducey is stockpiling shipping containers in Nogales

Last month, Gov. Doug Ducey made a splash on the border in the Yuma sector as he unveiled a new section of the border wall made out of old shipping containers.

It’s part of a $13 million project to fill 3,000 feet of gaps in the border wall, and it was met with skepticism from many as migrants continued to bypass itand some containers toppled in the days after it was put in.

But the governor has called it a success and could be expanding the initiative. The Nogales International reports that his office is stockpiling shipping containers at the National Guard Armory there.

Angela Gervasi is the reporter behind that story.

The Show spoke with her to learn about her findings.
